A weak storm system will approach our area bringing a chance
of some snow on Wednesday night, although it appears the storm will just brush
our area with a dusting to an inch or two of accumulation. The snow should start around 7pm on Wednesday
and end around 1am on Thursday morning.
As far as the weekend storm potential goes, most of the models have
backed off on the development of the storm as they are not bringing the pieces
together in the same way and have moved things around a bit. This allows the storm to develop further out
to sea. This is a very real possibility,
and if that happened it would mean just a chance of a little light snow or flurries,
or possibly even nothing at all.
However, I have to caution that I have seen many times in this time
range that the models lose storms, only to bring them back as we get closer in
time to the storm, so I will keep a close eye on this situation. If that storm misses us this weekend, then
the next storm I am watching continues to be next Friday into Saturday when we
have the possibility of another strong Nor’easter. Check back for updates on the Wednesday night
and weekend potential storms.
