Monday, October 21st, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion
We will see one more warm and nice day today after a cool start this morning. Then tomorrow clouds will increase as a cold front approaches our area and there will be a chance of a shower in the late morning or early afternoon. On Wednesday a Nor’easter will form well off shore, bringing us a chance of a shower in the morning, clouds during the day, then a chance of a rain or snow shower from the late morning into the night. Variably cloudy skies with the chance of a rain or snow shower will continue for Thursday and Friday as cold air flows across the much warmer Great Lakes causing some Lake Effect snow showers to form and some of them could make it into our area as a mixture of rain and snow. It will also get quite cold starting on Thursday morning with the lows reaching the low to mid 30’s for both Thursday and Friday morning and highs only in the low 50’s. Saturday morning will get a bit colder even, with the low possibly reaching the upper 20’s to low 30’s throughout the area, and a high again in the low 50’s. On Sunday a weak storm system will then approach, brining a chance of a shower. Then behind the storm we will again return to the cold air with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Next Tuesday should then be a nice but cold day with the lows reaching the mid to upper 20’s prior to the next weak storm system approaching with a chance of showers on Wednesday. Thursday should then warm up a bit as warm air surges ahead of the approaching storm, with the high possibly reaching 60 degrees. Then the cold air returns behind this storm with a chance of a rain or snow shower again next Friday. Next Saturday should then be nice, but cold, with a low again in the mid to upper 20’s and a high only in the low to mid 40’s. Then on Sunday there will again be a chance of a shower with the next weak storm system.
