There will continue to be a chance of showers and
thunderstorms today and tomorrow, especially tomorrow and it will remain warm
with a high today in the upper 70’s to low 80’s, but likely staying a bit
cooler tomorrow due to the rain. Monday
will likely be a very rainy day as the remnants of Tropical Storm Karen
approach our area and combine with an approaching cold front. After the front pushes through it should
leave us with a very nice day on Tuesday.
The models have then gone back and forth with the possibility of another
tropical type system forming off the Carolinas and possibly affecting our area
with some rain for Wednesday and Thursday.
This latest run of the European model again shows the chance of a
tropical system forming off the Carolinas and bringing us some rain on
Wednesday and Thursday which could be heavy at times on Thursday and could
linger into Friday morning before finally clearing out. We should then have a nice weekend next
week. The next storm to watch would be
for the middle to end of next week as yet another tropical system may form and
combine forces with an approaching cold front, bringing the chance for more
heavy rain as we end the following work week.
Stay tuned, the Tropics are heating up as the air to the north of us is
cooling down substantially. This has the
potential to lead to some severe weather as we head into late October. Click here to view an interesting video about
the extreme weather with heavy snow and tornadoes in the West and Mid West from

best on camera meteorologist out there.
