Sunday, October 6th, 2013 - Evening Weather Discussion

The temperatures remained a bit cooler today than expected due to the persistent low clouds throughout the day.  The heavy rain should commence tomorrow around mid day as a cold front and the remnants of Tropical Storm Karen move into our area.  The heavy rain should be over by around nightfall but the evening commute tomorrow will likely be miserable as there will likely be some localized flash flooding of small streams and ponding on the roads.  Things should clear out and cool down for Tuesday and Wednesday, then a storm system is likely to develop off the East Coast.  It is difficult to say if this storm will be a tropical system or not because of where it is developing, but in any event it should bring us increasing clouds on Thursday and heavy rain on Friday and Saturday, with lingering rain through next Wednesday as the system stalls our in our area and another tropical type of system moves into our area behind this one.  Then, as we head into Thursday of the following week we will likely be looking at a significant storm developing in our area much as you would see in the winter, although it is still too warm for snow, so we will just be looking at more heavy rain for the following Thursday and Friday.  Unfortunately, this means this coming Tuesday and Wednesday may be the only nice days for the next 2 weeks.  Sorry.
