Thursday, October 10th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion
A coastal low will affect our area from today through Sunday with heavy rain today and tomorrow causing some flash flooding of roads and small streams by tonight and continuing through the day tomorrow. The rain should be light and intermittent, and mainly in the morning on Saturday and Sunday, with some clearing possible in the afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday. Monday through Thursday should then be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm on Thursday. On Friday a storm system and cold front will be approaching our area from the west, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms from Friday afternoon through Saturday, and they could be heavy at times on Saturday. The following Sunday and Monday should then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower on Monday. Then that Tuesday could feature rain heavy at times, with temperatures dropping through the 40’s during the day and into the 30’s at night, possibly changing the rain to snow showers at night. Stay tuned. Things could get interesting in that time frame. Nothing looks like a big problem at the moment, but we need to keep an eye on this.
