We will have one more dry but cold day today with lows
dropping to the mid to upper teens in most locations and highs only in the mid
30’s. Then tomorrow a storm will be
developing along the Gulf Coast and it will move Northeast right over us by
Wednesday morning. Ahead of the storm we
may see some flurries early tomorrow morning, followed by cloudy skies and a
high in the mid to upper 30’s. Then
light snow will develop between 3 pm and 5 pm and will change to sleet and
possibly freezing rain prior to changing to rain between 7 pm and 10 pm. A dusting to an inch of accumulation of snow
and ice is possible before the changeover to rain. It will then rain heavy at times on Wednesday
with some flash flooding possible as approximately 2.50 inches of rain is
expected with this storm. The temperatures
will warm to the low to mid 50’s in the morning, and then the temperatures will
drop to the mid to upper 30’s by evening.
The rain will change to snow flurries or snow showers between 7 pm and
10 pm on Wednesday evening, with a dusting of accumulation possible. On Thanksgiving morning we will have a chance
of a snow shower or flurry, followed by clearing skies, but cold temperatures
with highs only around 30. Temperatures
will then drop to the mid to upper teens for Black Friday morning and highs
will be in the low to mid 30’s. We will
then have the possibility of some light snow on Saturday night and Sunday morning
as warm air starts to move back into the area with a warm front, changing any
light snow to light rain by Sunday afternoon.
It now looks as if it will be much warmer next week, with chances for
rain on Monday night and Tuesday morning, and again next Thursday and the
following Sunday.
