Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 - Evening Weather Discussion
I was amazed when I got home this evening and there were still some patches of snow around. Anyway, Things will remain nice through Friday, with moderating temperatures tomorrow through Monday. The high will reach the upper 40's tomorrow, the low 50's on Friday, the mid 50's on Saturday and Sunday, and the upper 50's on Monday. There will be a slight chance of a shower on Saturday, and a chance of a shower on Sunday. On Monday a cold front will be approaching, bringing with it a continued chance of a shower on Monday morning, with showers likely on Monday afternoon and ending at night. We will then see nice weather and cooler temperatures through Friday, with the chance of some rain or snow commencing next Saturday. The temperatures will be quite cool next Wednesday and Thursday, much like today, and remain cold next Friday with highs possibly moderating to the low 40's next Friday. Then we will have to wait and see how things set up for next weekend and leading into the Thanksgiving holiday. I do have some concerns based on things I have been seeing for a few days now. It is possible that the current pattern will continue of cold fronts with warm air before with rain and cold and dry air behind. But there appear to be some signs of a possible pattern change after the cold front passes next Tuesday morning with cold air remaining in place as storms approach from the west or southeast. If that were to be the case we would be on the border line between rain and snow. I am also watching for the possibility of the storm next Sunday being rather significant, but this is all merely speculation at this point and even if the storm did develop, it is MUCH too early to tell whether it would be rain or snow. Check back tomorrow for the latest information.
