It will be quite cold today with highs only in the mid to
upper 30’s and then we will have one more morning of very cold temperatures
tomorrow with lows in the mid to upper 20’s.
Temperatures will then start to warm, with the high reaching the upper
40’s tomorrow and the low to mid 50’s Friday through Sunday, although there
will be a slight chance of a shower on Saturday and a chance of a shower on
Sunday. On Monday showers will be likely
in the afternoon and at night and they will continue until the early morning
hours on Tuesday as a cold front approaches.
It will however be quite warm on Monday with highs in the low 60’s as
warm air surges north into our area ahead of the cold front. Tuesday the temperatures will start to drop
in the afternoon behind the cold front, bringing us cold temperatures again for
the middle of next week with highs in the mid to upper 30’s next Wednesday and
Thursday. Temperatures will then warm a
bit on Friday next week but then another weak front may come through for next Saturday
bringing a chance of a rain or snow shower and briefly cooler
temperatures. There are lots of
questions after this for the short workweek before Thanksgiving. Some model runs show temperatures remaining
cold with chances for snow and some show the same pattern that we have been in
with warming temperatures prior to cold fronts and cold temperatures after they
pass. We will just have to wait and see
at this point, but those hoping for snow might want to keep an eye on the
period just prior to Thanksgiving for the next chance at some wintry weather.
