Check Out This National Radar Loop

Click here to check out this national radar loop of the storm developing over the center of the country and what appears to be a Lake Effect type streamer coming off the Gulf of Mexico near Pensacola, Florida, extending all the way to about 100 miles off the coast of New Jersey.  Amazing stuff.  I just wonder if this storm might do the same thing the other one did that surprised everyone with the foot of snow in South Jersey yesterday.  Looking at this radar view, I think it could.  Also, I have seen before how the European model can get the placement of the precipitation correct, but be too low on the amounts, although that is unlikely.  I have however seen it happen before.  What concerns me the most is how the European model had nothing two days ago for us, then it went to a dusting, then a half inch, then an inch, then an inch and a half, then today two inches.  Will it do it again in the morning?  I wonder.
