European Ensemble Mean for Tuesday and Next Weekend
The European ensemble mean precipitation output was delayed this evening for some reason and I just got it. It shows about 1 inch of snow for Tuesday and it already shows about 4 inches of snow for next weekend, which is quite a lot considering it is a week away and the mean typically smooths out the average quite a bit over time. It is a great tool when you are close in, but in the distance it is just useful in giving you a general idea. Some of the individual members are quite dramatic hits for next weekend as far as snow goes while others show none. So, the spread is quite large, but the potential for another big storm, whether it is rain, snow, or some combination of the two is quite large at this point.
