Snow Has Started Here and European Model Update

The snow just started here a little after 2:00.  The European model continues to show a dusting to around a half inch in most locations this afternoon and evening, while the ultra short range American model continues to pound southeastern New York with up to 2-3 inches of snow.  Moving forward the European model now brings a rapidly developing storm up the coast this weekend, bringing us a bit of rain on Sunday, although very close to being snow. Then the models have now given us some focus on the potential for next week and the models are now focusing on next Wednesday (New Year's Day) through Friday for the possibility of a significant snowstorm for our area.  Check back for updates and be careful if driving later this afternoon and evening.
