We will have warmer weather through Friday although there
will be a chance of showers on Thursday and showers will be likely on
Friday. Temperatures will warm to the
low to mid 50’s on Thursday and into early on Friday as warm air surges north
into our area ahead of a cold front. The
showers may then end as a bit of light snow or flurries in the pre-dawn hours
on Saturday after the cold front passes through on Friday afternoon and cold
air starts filtering back into our area.
The rest of the day will then be nice on Saturday and into Sunday
morning. Then Sunday afternoon the
clouds will increase and snow will develop at night, and then change to sleet,
then freezing rain, before finally changing to rain around sunrise on Monday
morning. There is a chance of a
significant accumulation of snow and ice prior to the changeover to rain on
Monday morning. We will then have
showers on Monday into early Tuesday prior to the cold front passing
through. After the front passes next
Tuesday morning things will clear out but cool down quite substantially with
the low possibly reaching the low to mid teens by next Wednesday morning. Then we have to watch for the possibility of
a storm approaching us next Thursday that could bring us some wintry weather
toward the end of next week. This storm
has the potential to turn into a Nor’easter as it reaches the coast by next
Thursday night and Friday, but we will just have to wait and see.
