Short-Range American Model

It is now seeing what the European model was seeing all along, just like I said it would just prior to the storm starting.  It now sees all layers from cloud to ground below freezing by 10 pm in western sections and 1 am in eastern sections.   It is still extremely difficult to tell though if that would mean snow or a mix because the layer just above the clouds is above freezing, and that could cause sleet.  Tough call, but this is what the European model is seeing as snow, and that is why.  It all makes sense now.  The question is who gets how much?  Best I can do is a dusting to 4 inches from southeast to northwest.  It all depends on how much of this is sleet.
