We will see some nice and warmer weather through Wednesday,
with just a slight chance of a snow shower or flurry tonight. A weak Nor'easter will form off the coast
tomorrow but will remain to our east, bringing Maine a decent snowstorm on
Tuesday. The next weather event will be
an approaching cold front that will bring us a chance of showers on Thursday
and especially Friday. It will however
also bring us some warm temperatures with highs in the mid 50’s on Thursday as
warm air surges north into our area ahead of the cold front. On Friday showers will be quite likely but temperatures
will also start dropping as the day goes on.
Then on Saturday morning a weak storm may form along the front, bringing
us a chance of some rain that could change to snow before ending as the cold
air starts to take hold. Then we should
get one day of nice weather next Sunday, although it will be cold, prior to
another storm approaching on Monday.
This storm on Monday could be quite strong and may very well start as
snow, changing gradually changing to sleet, and then freezing rain, then rain
as the storm will be moving into some very cold air over our area that will
take some time to move out. This could
make for quite an ugly day next Monday.
Then by next Tuesday morning warm air will have moved into our area,
with temperatures from the upper 40’s in the western sections, to the mid 50’s in
the eastern sections, just in time for the cold front to come through by
afternoon bringing much colder temperatures and the rain may change to snow
before ending in the late morning. We
will then have to wait and see if there is yet another storm later in the week
around Thursday, December 12th.
