European Model Update

First of all we are likely to get some flurries or snow showers this afternoon and evening, then on Saturday we should get 1-2 inches of snow, then possibly a dusting to a half of an inch on Sunday night.  Then the European model this afternoon has my storm next week, but it has moved the threat up to Wednesday.  It forms a Nor'easter off the Southeast Coast on Tuesday night and moves it Northeast up the coast, bringing accumulating snow as far south as North Florida on Tuesday night, then 4-8 inches of snow for Eastern Georgia, South Carolina, Eastern North Carolina, Southeastern Virginia, Southeastern Delaware, and even brings 2-4 inches of snow as close to us as extreme Southeastern New Jersey.  It just brushes us with a bit of light snow on Wednesday, but obviously we need to keep a very close eye on this storm.  This storm has huge potential to turn into a major Nor'easter that could affect the entire East Coast of the United States.  We will have to wait and see if future runs of the model turn this storm up the coast more.  I believe they most likely will.  The good news with this storm is that the cloud cover on Wednesday morning would prevent the extreme cold from happening as prior model runs showed.  However, both before and after the storm temperatures will likely be 5-10 degrees below zero on Tuesday morning and again on Thursday morning.  If the storm intensifies more, then we would likely see the extreme cold on Thursday morning pop up on the models again.  After the storm passes we will likely get a bit more snow late next Thursday night into Friday morning, then a more significant storm will approach next Saturday, bringing the chance of a few inches of snow for Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning, then yes, it looks quite cold for the Super Bowl.
