We will have some light snow or flurries this afternoon and
early this evening with a dusting to a half of an inch of accumulation
possible. Tomorrow morning the
temperatures will again drop to around zero, and then on Saturday we will have
periods of light snow that will likely accumulate to 1-2 inches. Sunday morning lows will again drop to around
zero, then on Sunday night we will again have a bit of light snow that could
accumulate to a dusting to a half of an inch.
Then another arctic cold front will move through on Monday morning,
causing temperatures to drop below zero again by Tuesday morning and possibly
reaching record lows in some locations by Wednesday morning. The lows on Tuesday morning will likely reach
the mid single digits below zero, then 10-15 degrees below zero on Wednesday
morning and the mid single digits below zero again on Thursday morning. From Thursday night through Saturday morning
there will be a chance of snow as several low pressure areas will approach our
area and there is a possibility that two of these disturbances could combine
and form into a Nor'easter. Then for
Super Bowl Sunday it currently looks as if it will be sunny but cold with low
temperatures in the upper single digits and highs in the upper teens to low 20’s. There will then be a chance of snow toward
the middle of the following week.
