European Model Update
Tomorrow morning low temperatures will drop to around zero, with a high tomorrow only in the low to mid teens. Then it now brings a dusting to a half of an inch of snow up to New York City on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. Will this trend more? It had the precipitation well off shore on prior runs. After this storm passes it brings us a bit of light snow on Friday, then rain showers on Saturday and Saturday night with a high in the mid to upper 40's. The cold front will then come through early on Sunday morning with a chance of a snow shower or flurry, then things will clear out by Sunday afternoon just in time for the Super Bowl. Game time temperatures should be around 30, dropping into the 20's during the game. Then a big storm will move into our area starting on Tuesday of next week. It should start as snow on Tuesday morning. It may then change to rain or freezing rain and it will continue into Wednesday afternoon, heavy at times. At the moment, on this particular model run, the European model has the worst case scenario with a heavy freezing rain event for our area. Hopefully that will change on future runs. Check back for updates.
