Quick Update

I am sticking with my 10-20 inch forecast for Northern New Jersey, Southeastern New York, and  Northeast and East Central Pennsylvania, with the possibility of some localized amounts up to 25 inches possible.  The amounts are dependent upon whether any mixing with sleet takes place, although that is now looking unlikely in Northwestern New Jersey and less likely in Northeastern New Jersey.

Click here or on the map below to view the latest short-range American model snowfall output map.  It finally has the placement of the snow band about right, BUT I truly believe you will have to play connect a dot and connect the 12-18 inch amounts over Maryland and Delaware with the 12-18 inch amounts over Maine.  I don't know why some of the models are doing this, but the main models that I follow are not doing this, so just connect the dots and this will give you a good idea of what is about to happen along the East Coast.
