The models have backed off a bit on the snow for tomorrow afternoon and night. It now looks as if we will receive 1-2 inches of snow. The snow should begin around 3 pm and end around 9 pm.
The next storm of concern will be developing in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday. This storm will bring significant snow on Tuesday and significant ice on Wednesday to areas of the Deep South from Northeastern Georgia, to Northern and Western South Carolina, and throughout all of North Carolina, except possibly coastal areas. In these areas it is possible that as much as 3-6 inches of snow will fall, followed by a half of an inch or so of ice, which could cause some serious problems for people in those areas.
The storm will then move northward up the East Coast on Wednesday into Thursday morning, bringing 4-8 inches of snow to areas from Virginia northward through Maryland (including Washington D.C. and Baltimore, but excluding possibly coastal areas), Eastern Pennsylvania (including Philadelphia), most of New Jersey (except possibly southeastern New Jersey around Cape May and Atlantic City), Southeastern New York (including New York City and Long Island), and all of New England, except possibly extreme southeastern sections. The snow will continue in New England during the day on Thursday. In the Northern New Jersey and New York City area the snow will fall on Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
We may then get some snow showers on Friday, followed by a chance for either rain or snow next Saturday.
