The American model just changed quite a bit with the weekend storm, right on track. It now has a weak low developing near Cape Hatteras on Sunday night. With several inches of snow for Northeastern North Carolina and Southeastern Virginia, with lighter snow throughout Eastern Virginia, Eastern Maryland, Delaware, and as far north as extreme Southern New Jersey.
The American model is the ONLY model to run until tonight with any new data since this storm is starting to come on shore. It is NOT fully on shore yet, and won't be until tomorrow night.
This is a major change from the prior run where there was no such thing. This is very much where prior model runs had shown this storm developing before the storm went out over the Pacific Ocean from Siberia.
This is exactly how these storms reappear, if they are going to reappear. One step at a time.
I am NOT saying it will completely come back at all, but if it is going to, this is exactly how I would have envisioned it starting, on exactly this run as well. I am expecting the possibility of much more dramatic changes on the next few runs, IF this is going to come back, as the energy is just now starting to come on shore.
