Friday, March 28th, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

April showers bring May flowers and pre-April showers bring flooding rains...

We will have some showers through tomorrow morning, then we will have rain heavy at times tomorrow afternoon and night which could lead to some flooding as we will likely get more than 2 inches of rain.

Showers will then continue through Sunday and into Monday morning, possibly mixing with or changing to snow on Sunday night into Monday morning, especially in the higher elevations.

The storm will move off the coast on Sunday night and become a weak Nor'easter.  This will allow cold air to filter in on the back side of the storm and it could get just cold enough to allow the rain to mix with and possibly change to snow in some locations on Sunday night into Monday morning.  There is even a chance that the snow could accumulate, especially in the higher elevations and on grassy surfaces.  I will be keeping a close eye on this potential.

After this storm passes it will clear out through Thursday, with highs reaching the upper 50's on Tuesday, the low 60's on Wednesday, and the mid 50's on Thursday.

There will then be a chance of showers next Friday and rain, possibly heavy once again next Saturday.
