April showers bring May flowers and pre-April showers bring
flooding rains…
Well, we will be getting those April showers for sure and
they will be starting early today and will be getting quite heavy for our
weekend.
We will have a chance of showers today and it will be warmer
with a high in the low to mid 50’s.
Tomorrow we will have some showers in the morning and then
rain heavy at times tomorrow afternoon and night, continuing into Sunday
morning. We may get more than 2 inches
of rain, and if we do, it will likely lead to some flooding as the ground is
already saturated from the recent melting of the snow.
We will then have a chance of some rain on Sunday afternoon
and night, continuing into Monday morning.
The rain could mix with or change to snow on Sunday night into Monday
morning, and there is even a possibility of some accumulation, especially in
the higher elevations.
Things will then clear out and warm up for the middle of
next week and the temperatures should reach around 60 degrees on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday.
Another slow-moving storm system is then likely to approach
for next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, bringing another chance for some heavy
rains.
Then yet another slow-moving storm system is likely for the
following Tuesday night through Thursday, bringing more heavy rains.
Get your sump-pumps ready.
Happy Friday!
