So, Why the Big Difference?

So, what makes the difference between 2 feet of snow on Sunday night through Tuesday morning and nothing?

The difference is really very simple... If two separate disturbances come together in the Western Plains states, we would likely get a very significant snowstorm.  If the two pieces stay separate, it is very possible we get nothing.

I don't yet know which will happen.

Oh yeah, and some snow showers just developed over Northern New Jersey from the storm last night.
