Well, luckily no snow overnight last night, but it is cold
today and the high will only reach the mid 20’s.
It will warm up tomorrow and Saturday, with the high
reaching the mid 40’s tomorrow and the mid 50’s on Saturday.
On Sunday a storm will be forming over the Central Plains
and moving toward the Southeastern United States. This storm will start moving northeastward and
in our direction. The big question is
whether this storm will make it close enough to us to bring us snow on Sunday
night and Monday, possibly into Tuesday morning. I simply do not yet know the answer to that
question as the European and American models miss us with this storm. However, the Canadian model and one other
experimental model (an extended version of the American short-range model), give
us two feet of snow. Also, the Canadian
model has been extremely good this winter.
In fact, in my opinion it has been the best model and was the first
model to show every major snowstorm we had this winter and it even was the
first model to indicate the possibility of the storm missing us two weeks
ago.
Well, I simply don’t know what will happen at this point
from Sunday night through Tuesday morning.
We could get nothing, or we could get a very big snowstorm.
There will then be a chance of more snow next Wednesday into
Thursday and possibly again next Sunday into Monday.
Check back for updates.
