Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Barring anything unforeseen at this point, one of the most intense storms in history in our area will miss us just to the east on Tuesday and Wednesday.  This storm will have winds of around 100 mph near its center, which will luckily get no closer to land than about 50-100 miles from Cape Cod.

In our area we will have sunny but cold skies tomorrow with highs in the mid 30's.

On Tuesday morning, light snow will likely develop late in the morning and continue until early Wednesday morning.  The snow could become moderate at times.  The snow will likely accumulate to 1-4 inches.

The winds will then become quite strong on Wednesday as the storm rapidly intensifies well off the coast. The winds will likely gust to 40-50 mph throughout our area on Wednesday and it will feel extremely cold as the high will only make it into the low to mid 30's.

Thursday things will start to warm and Friday the high could make it into the low 60's.

We should have a nice weekend with temperatures in the 50's on Saturday, cooling to the 40's on Sunday.

Temperatures should warm again to the low 60's next Monday, then cool to the 50's next Tuesday.

Next Wednesday we will have a chance for rain and it will be cooler with highs in the 40's.
