One more nice day is on the way today before some very heavy
rain enters the area for the middle of the week…
Today will be nice with a high around 60, and then tomorrow
a slow moving low pressure area will approach our area, bringing with it some
showers tomorrow and much cooler weather with highs only in the low to mid 40’s.
Wednesday the rain is likely to become heavy at times,
especially at night when it could become very heavy, with 3-4 inches of rain
looking likely. It will also be quite
cold during the day, with afternoon temperatures only in the low to mid 40’s,
before rising to the upper 40’s to low 50’s at night. If we were really to get 3-4 inches of rain,
this would lead to some pretty severe flooding throughout the area on Wednesday
night into early on Thursday. Anyone who
lives in a flood prone area should keep a close eye on this possibility.
Things will then clear out after about sunrise on Thursday,
giving us a nice and warm day on Thursday with a high in the low to mid 70’s,
although we may very well have to deal with the flooding from the overnight
rains.
Friday should also be nice but a bit cooler, with highs in
the low to mid 60’s.
Saturday we will have a chance for showers, and then we
should have a nice day on Sunday, followed by more showers on Sunday night into
Monday morning. Highs this weekend
should be in the low to mid 60’s.
The rest of next week we should have on and off chances for
showers, with the most likely day being next Thursday and highs in the upper 50’s
to low 60’s through the period, except possibly next Thursday when the high could
make it to the mid to upper 60’s.
