Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

Flooding rains likely today and cold as the strong storm system that brought all the tornadoes to the Deep South and Mid-West approaches our area.

We will have rain, heavy at times today that could lead to some flooding as we are likely to have 2-3 inch rainfall totals throughout the area.  It will also be cold with temperatures only in the low to mid 40’s during the day, rising late in the day to the upper 40’s, then into the 50’s late tonight.

Tomorrow the rain will come to an end in the morning, although there will be some flooding.  It will also be quite warm tomorrow with highs around 70.

Friday should then be a nice day with highs in the low to mid 60’s.

This weekend we will have variably cloudy skies with a chance of showers, especially on Sunday.  It will also be cool with a high in the low 60’s on Saturday and only the mid 50’s on Sunday.

Next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are looking good with highs around 60 each day.

Next Thursday we will have a chance of showers as a low-pressure area enters our area and it will be cooler with highs in the mid to upper 50’s.

Next Friday and Saturday we will have variably cloudy skies with a chance of showers and highs in the upper 50’s on Friday, rising to the mid 70’s on Saturday.

Next Sunday should then be nice with a high in the upper 60’s, followed by more chances for showers the following Monday and Tuesday and highs around 70.
