Showers and thunderstorms are going to develop this
afternoon and some of them could be heavy as it is quite warm and humid. We
will have a high in the upper 70’s.
The showers will however end early tomorrow morning, leaving
us with a beautiful Mother’s Day and a high in the mid 70’s.
Monday the nice weather will continue and it will be quite
warm with a high in the low 80’s, however we will have a slight chance of a
shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon or evening.
Tuesday a back door cold front (click here for a definition)
will likely move through our area off the ocean, bringing with it some cooler
temperatures and some showers with a high in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. The exact position of this back door cold
front will determine who ends up with a high near 90 and who has a high near 50
on Tuesday. Right now it looks as if the southwestern suburbs of Philadelphia could hit 90 on Tuesday, while the northeast suburbs of New York City might reach only 50 on Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance
of a shower or thunderstorm both days and highs in the low to mid 60’s on
Wednesday and in the upper 70’s on Thursday.
Friday a low pressure area may develop along the East Coast,
bringing us rain on Friday, possibly heavy at times on Friday afternoon and a
high in the mid 60’s.
Next Saturday looks to be a nice day with a high in the
upper 60’s.
Next Sunday through Wednesday should be variably cloudy with
a chance of a shower each day and highs in the mid to upper 60’s.
Next Thursday and Friday should be nice with highs in the mid
to upper 70’s.
