Well, the showers and thunderstorms never made it into our
area. They hit a brick wall near the
Pennsylvania/New Jersey border and died out.
The cooler temperatures have however arrived, leaving us with just a
chance of a shower or thunderstorm today and highs in the low to mid 60’s.
Tomorrow should be dry but still cloudy and moist as the
easterly wind off the cool ocean continues, with a high in the mid 60’s.
Friday and Saturday we will continue to have a slight chance
of a shower or thunderstorm but the winds will start to turn to the west,
gradually clearing things out and warming things up with highs in the upper 60’s
on Friday and the low 70’s on Saturday.
Sunday should then be a very nice day, but still relatively
cool with a high around 70.
Monday may end up being the warmest day of the next two
weeks as warm air surges north into our area ahead of an approaching cold
front, with highs around 80.
With the approaching cold front on Monday night we will be
likely to see showers and thunderstorms and they may continue on and off
through next Saturday, as the front may stall out and a low pressure area may
form off the coast. Highs from next Tuesday
through Saturday should from the upper 60’s to the mid 70’s.
Next Sunday and Monday should then be nice with highs around
70.
Early next week we will have to see if the long talked about
possible tropical system finally develops in Gulf of Mexico. If it does, it would bring us some showers
and thunderstorms next Tuesday with a high in the mid 70’s.
