Looks like a very cold weekend next weekend with snow flurries and snow showers possible on Saturday in Northern New Jersey and significant snow (possibly 6-12 inches or more) for the Adirondacks in New York, Vermont, and Northern New Hampshire as the storm will likely develop inland over Eastern New England. If the storm develops any further south we would have a bit more snow in our area as well, but that is the way it looks right now.
The precipitation would likely start as rain or snow showers on Friday evening, but any precipitation that falls on Saturday would definitely be snow as there will be very cold air circulating into our area around the backside of the developing low over Eastern New England. The lows on Saturday and Sunday mornings will be in the mid to upper 20's and the highs will be in the low 40's, but with the cold Northerly winds it will feel like it is in the 20's at times during the day, and like the teens on Saturday morning and Saturday night into Sunday morning.
