Friday, November 7, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Super Typhoon Nuri (stronger than even Superstorm Sandy) is messing up the entire global weather pattern, and will cause the Polar Vortex to move southward into the Northern United States by the end of next week.  This will lead to a potentially very volatile weather pattern for the end of next week and possibly into the following week...

First though, we will have a nice but cold day tomorrow with lows in the upper 20's to low 30's and highs in the mid 40's.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a high around 50.

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50's on Monday and the low 60's on Tuesday as warm air surges north into our area ahead of the approaching Arctic cold front.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower and a high in the low 60's ahead of the Arctic cold front.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with increasing cloudiness late in the day and a high in the low 40's.

Friday we will have a chance of snow as a low may develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast.  With the fresh cold air in place in should be cold enough for snow if the storm gets close enough to us with the moisture.  The highs will be in the mid 30's.

Saturday there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning followed by clearing.  The lows will be in the mid to upper 20's and the highs in the mid to upper 30's.

Sunday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm may move along the Gulf Coast and then move to a point near Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, then northward up the coast.  The exact track that this storm takes will determine whether it is rain or snow.  The highs will be in the mid 30's.

Monday should be mostly sunny with lows in the mid to upper 20's and highs in the mid to upper 30's.

Next Tuesday there will be a chance of rain or snow as another storm may approach our area with highs in the mid 30's.

Next Wednesday will be mostly sunny with lows in the mid to upper 20's and highs in the mid to upper 30's.

Next Thursday there will be a chance of rain or snow with lows in the upper teens to low 20's and highs in the mid 30's.

I need some rest.

Join me in the morning for the latest.

Have a nice evening.
