Monday, November 10, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Mid 60's tomorrow, then a chance of a bit of snow on Friday morning, then it gets cold with a chance of Nor'easters...

What a beautiful day today was and it will be beautiful again tomorrow with highs in the mid 60's.

Wednesday we will likely have some rain in the morning but it will still be warm with a high in the low 60's.

Thursday will start out sunny but clouds will increase in the afternoon with light snow or flurries starting between 11pm and midnight.  The high on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 40's.

Friday the light snow and flurries will end by around 5-6 am with only a dusting of accumulation possible.  It will then clear out in the afternoon with a high in the upper 30's to low 40's.

Saturday will then be mostly sunny but cold with lows in the mid to upper 20's and highs in the mid to upper 30's.

Sunday a low pressure area will be moving along the Gulf Coast at the same time that a low pressure area is dropping down from Canada.  Whether and where these two systems merge will determine the track of the storm and hence what type of precipitation we receive on Sunday night and Monday.  It is still too early to tell as there remains much uncertainty in the data.  There is also a possibility that the two pieces don't merge at all and the storm harmlessly slides out to sea. We will just have to wait and see what happens.  I hope to have a better idea tomorrow morning.

Sunday clouds will increase in the morning with a chance of rain or snow developing in the afternoon and continuing through the night and through much of the day on Monday.  The highs should be in the mid to upper 30's.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday should be nice but quite cold with lows in the 20's and highs in the 30's.

Next Thursday and Friday another interesting situation may develop along the East Coast as two storms may come together and threaten our area, this time with an even greater chance of it being snow.  Lows should be in the 20's with highs in the low to mid 30's.

Next weekend should then be nice with another chance of a snowstorm for early the following week.
