Who could imagine that we would have a white Thanksgiving
and then hit 60 degrees for Christmas Eve?
Luckily most areas are just above freezing, with 32.8 at my
location and about the same around most of Northwestern NJ, so freezing rain
will be very spotty and hopefully not much of a problem tonight. Temperatures will rise slowly overnight.
Tomorrow we will have rain in the morning with light rain
and scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. The highs tomorrow will be in the mid 40’s.
Christmas Eve we will have rain, heavy at times, and it will
be windy, with temperatures rising through the day, reaching around 60 by late
night and into the pre-dawn hours of Christmas Day.
Expect the
possibility of heavy travel delays up and down the East Coast on Christmas Eve
with the heavy rain and wind. And for those of you heading south to Florida for the holiday;
remember that my dad owns a real estate company in Florida. Click
here to view his company website.
Christmas Day we will have rain, heavy at times early in the
morning, ending after sunrise, and then clearing with highs in the upper 40’s.
Friday and Saturday should then be mostly sunny with highs in
the mid 40’s on Friday and the low 50’s on Saturday.
Sunday we will have a chance of rain or snow and highs in
the upper 30’s to low 40’s.
Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 30’s.
Tuesday through New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day we will
have a chance of rain or snow and highs in the low to mid 30’s.
