The latest data that I trust the most is simply not backing down. It continues to suggest that Northwest New Jersey will have some problems, with snow, freezing rain, and sleet, as well as likely some rain tomorrow, changing to all snow late tomorrow night, then continuing at least lightly through the day on Wednesday and into Thursday morning.
It still suggests the potential for 2-14 inches of total storm accumulation from roughly Routes 78 and 287 North and West, with rapidly increasing amounts as you head further north and west into Northern Sussex and Northern Passaic Counties.
The only word of caution I would put out there is that what the model thinks is snow might be a combination of snow/sleet/freezing rain, but it does give you a good idea of the potential for problems, so in other words, I would just keep those amounts in the back of your head and much like the last storm a couple of weeks ago, even a few inches can lead to big problems.
It would be a safe bet to cut those amounts in half due to a mixture and any rain would wipe away any accumulation if we get some tomorrow morning, before it finally changes back to snow late tomorrow night.
So, keep in mind that we may not end up with anywhere near that much snow on the ground at the end of the storm, but the potential for havoc is definitely there with this storm in Northwestern New Jersey.
