Early Saturday Morning Quick Update

No changes in the data overnight. It still looks like 6-12 inches through the entire New York City Metropolitan area and Pennsylvania from about Trenton to Asbury Park and north.

Winter Storm Watches have been issued by the National Weather Service for 5-10 inches in Northeastern NJ, 6-10 inches in Northwest NJ, and 10-14 inches for Sussex County.

The difference in accumulations between areas is due to the possibility of a mixture developing at the height of the storm in areas southeast of Sussex County on Monday morning.  Otherwise everyone would be in the 10-14 inch range.

We will just have to wait and see which direction this mix line moves.  Regardless, Monday looks like a very difficult travel day, especially in the morning.

The snow should start between 4 pm and 7 pm on Sunday evening and end around 10 pm on Monday night.

More with the morning weather discussion and look at the next two weeks by 6:30 am.
