Monday, February 16, 2015 - Evening Weather Discussion

This storm continues on a southward track, keeping us on the northern fringe of the precipitation shield.

This should result in 1-2 inch accumulations across our area with only a dusting likely in far Northeast PA and Southern New York State. There will be 2-4 inch amounts across Central NJ and Long Island and 3-6 inch amounts across Southern NJ. The 6-12 inch amounts will be across Virginia and Southern Maryland.

There will then be a dusting to a half inch of snow as the Alberta Clipper passes through on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

It will then get very cold Thursday through Saturday morning with lows again below zero on Friday morning.

Saturday night through Monday morning there is conflicting information as to whether the snow will turn to rain on Sunday. It is really quite difficult for me to believe that this will happen, but it is a possibility. We will have to wait and see how the data looks tomorrow morning.

There will then be a chance of a coastal storm next Tuesday and Wednesday but we will have to wait and see how close this storm comes to our area.

Join me in the morning for the latest information.
