Quick Early Morning Update

This storm worked out pretty much as expected across Northwest New Jersey but not very well in Northeastern NJ where the models had been consistently suggesting the higher amounts of snow would fall. In actuality, the heavy band set up across Central and Southern New Jersey where as much as 6 inches has fallen so far and it is still snowing. The models thought this would set up over Northeastern New Jersey and it shifted south at the last moment. That is Mother Nature for you...

Thank goodness the highest winds did not materialize, as they so often don't. You have to warn people in case they do, but it is always nice when something like that doesn't happen.

As far as the mid-week storm threat goes, it is still there but the two pieces are NOT coming together so we will have a light to moderate snowstorm on Tuesday with the storm approaching from the southwest, then the Alberta Clipper will approach on Wednesday afternoon and evening, bringing some snow showers. More in a bit with the detailed look at the next two weeks and morning weather discussion.
