Sunday, February 22, 2015 - Evening Weather Discussion

What a wonderful day it was today to melt some of the snow away...

The high today was 42 at my location. I just wish it would last, but it won't...

HISTORIC LOW TEMPERATURES POSSIBLE TUESDAY MORNING THROUGHOUT THE NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA!!!

Widespread lows in the UPPER TO MIDDLE SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO are likely, with temperatures as low as -15 very possible in the coldest valleys.

Then it looks like we may get lucky as a couple of low pressure areas will form in the Southeastern United States but should stay to our south and east, keeping us nice until next weekend with only a chance of a snow shower Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Then next Saturday night through Tuesday may be ugly as a frontal system will set up nearby and some low pressure areas will ride along it. Right now the best bet would be that we would be looking at a mixture of rain and snow but we will have to wait and see.

It should then be nice Wednesday through Friday before the next storm system approaches with a chance of rain or snow next Saturday.
