Thursday, February 19, 2015 - Morning Weather Discussion

Big changes in the data for this weekend and the middle of next week…

Well, it is one of those mornings where I wake up and ask myself what just happened?

First though, it will be very cold today with a chance of a snow shower and highs only in the mid to upper teens.

Tomorrow will be ridiculously cold with lows dropping to zero to ten below zero in the morning and highs rising to only the low to mid teens.

Saturday a storm system will approach from the southwest, bringing with it a chance for snow to develop around 3-4 pm, and continuing through the night. The highs on Saturday should be in the mid to upper 20’s late in the day.

Sunday morning the snow should come to an end between 7 am and 9 am with 2-4 inches of accumulation possible. There will then be a chance of a shower during the day as temperatures warm to the upper 30’s to low 40’s.

Sunday night there will be a chance of some snow showers.

Monday should be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 20’s.

Tuesday we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of snow developing in the evening as a coastal storm will likely develop. This storm MAY come close enough to the coast to bring us some snow on Tuesday night  and Wednesday with highs in the low 20’s on Tuesday and the mid to upper 20’s on Wednesday.

Next Thursday and Friday will then be mostly sunny with highs mainly in the low 20’s.

Next Saturday clouds will likely increase with a chance of snow developing at night and continuing through Sunday as another coastal storm may develop and threaten our area. Highs should be in the upper 20’s on Saturday and the low to mid 30’s next Sunday.

Next Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30’s.

Next Tuesday we will have a chance of snow as a storm system approaches from the southwest. Highs should be in the low to mid 30’s.

Next Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 30’s.
