We will have a chance of a snow shower tonight and again tomorrow and especially tomorrow night into Monday morning. There could even be a dusting of accumulation in some places by Monday morning.
Then Tuesday a weak storm system will approach from the Gulf of Mexico and if it gets here early enough in the morning it could bring a touch of snow, sleet or freezing rain at the start before changing to rain. There is however a good chance that it won't start until the late morning or early afternoon and it will be warm enough by that time to just be rain. The rain will end in the evening, then Wednesday and Thursday should be nice.
Then a bigger concern comes into play on Friday when a stronger low pressure area will approach from the Gulf of Mexico. At the same time, a strong high pressure area will be moving into Quebec, Canada, supplying cold air into our area. Depending on exactly where the cold front sets up between these two systems we will either have rain or snow developing on Friday or Friday night and continuing into Saturday and possibly even into Sunday morning before ending. There is a chance of a significant amount of snow if the cold front pushes far enough south. At the moment the odds are about 50/50 between rain and snow with this storm.
After this storm passes it should clear out for Monday and possibly Tuesday.
A Nor'easter is then likely to form and we will have to see the track that this storm takes as it would threaten us with snow for next Wednesday and Thursday if it comes close enough to our area.
There is no sign of the winter pattern ending, right into the end of March.
Please join me in the morning for the latest...
Have a wonderful evening.
