Tonight and tomorrow morning there will be a chance of some some snow showers and they could mix with freezing rain in some areas, so we will have to watch this possibility closely for the morning commute. It will then clear out later in the morning.
Tuesday a weak low pressure area will approach, bringing with it some rain in the afternoon and at night.
Wednesday and Thursday should then be nice with highs likely reaching the low 50's on Wednesday. Break out the shorts!
The warmth will be short-lived however with temperatures dropping back to the mid 40's on Thursday.
Then on Friday a storm system sill approach from the Gulf Coast at the same time that a cold high pressure area is building into our area from Southern Canada. Depending on exactly where the front sets up we will either have rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, or some combination of all of the them from Friday night through Sunday morning. There is a possibility for significant accumulations of snow and ice with this storm. Right now the chances for rain versus snow are about 50/50 with a high likelihood of some combination.
After the storm moves away next Sunday morning things should clear out for Monday and Tuesday and high temperatures should approach 50 degrees once again.
Then next Tuesday night a cold front will move through, dropping our temperatures back into the 40's for Wednesday through next weekend.
Towards the end of next week and into next weekend there appears to be a good chance of a coastal storm developing with the possibility of more wintry type weather.
Enjoy the warmer weather but winter is not ready to give up just yet...
