And the snow melt begins…
We will have a chance of a snow shower tonight and tomorrow
morning but break out the shorts on Wednesday with highs around 50, then more
unsettled weather as we head into next weekend…
Today we will have variably cloudy skies with a chance of a
rain or snow shower during the day and a chance of a snow shower tonight and
tomorrow morning. The highs today will be around 40 and in the low 40’s
tomorrow.
Tuesday light rain will develop in the afternoon and evening
with a high in the mid 40’s.
Wednesday and Thursday will then be quite nice with highs around
50 on Wednesday, dropping back to the mid 40’s on Thursday.
Then things may get ugly from Friday through Sunday morning
as a low pressure system is going to develop in the Gulf of Mexico and a cold
high pressure area will be in Southern Canada. The storm in the Gulf of Mexico
will then move northward toward our area with a cold front setting up nearby.
Depending on whether this front sets up to our south or north we will have
either, rain, snow, freezing rain, or sleet from Friday through Sunday morning.
It is looking a bit more likely this morning that the front will set up to our
north, which would mean rain, so that is a bit of good news. Right now the odds
of rain vs. snow would be about 60% for rain and 40% for snow. It could also be
that the front wiggles and waggles north and south of our area. If this were to
occur we would be dealing with a mixture of rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet
from time to time between Friday and Sunday morning. We will have to see how
all this sets up over the next few days. I will certainly keep you updated.
Then moving into next week it looks as if next Monday and
Tuesday should be quite warm with highs around 50, then a cold front is likely
to move through, dropping high temperatures back to the 40’s.
Toward the end of next week there is a relatively good
chance of a coastal storm developing, bringing us a chance of rain or snow.
