We will be very lucky if we manage to escape the next two
weeks without seeing a significant snowstorm. There are chances for two Nor’easters
to develop over the next two weeks…
We will start out foggy this morning but after the fog burns
off we should make it into the low to mid 50’s, and possibly even warmer if the
sun comes out early enough. I would not be shocked if someone hits 60 today.
Tomorrow should then be cooler as a cold front will come
through tonight. The highs tomorrow will be in the low 40’s.
Friday we will have increasing cloudiness as a low pressure
area starts to approach our area. The highs on Friday should be in the low 40’s.
Late Friday night rain, snow, sleet or freezing rain will
develop and then will change to rain by around sunrise. There could be a
dusting of snow in some places and some accumulation of ice prior to the
changeover to rain.
Saturday we will then have a rainy day with a high in the
mid 40’s.
Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or
snow shower and a high in the mid 40’s.
Monday we will have increasing cloudiness in the afternoon
as a cold front approaches, then a chance of showers at night with a high in
the mid to upper 40’s.
Tuesday, as the cold front approaches the coast, there is a
chance of a strong Nor’easter developing off or along the coast. Depending on
where this storm develops, if it develops, we will have a chance of rain or
snow. We will have to watch this potential closely as this storm has the
potential to become quite strong. At this particular moment in time it appears
that the storm may develop far enough off the coast that it won’t affect our
area, but this is still a long way out so I will be watching this situation closely.
Check back for updates as this one has the potential to throw some big
surprises to either us or New England depending on exactly where it develops
next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Next Wednesday through Friday should then be colder behind
the big storm with highs only in the mid 30’s.
Next Friday night through Tuesday there is the potential for
unsettled weather as one storm system might threaten us with some snow next
Friday night and Saturday and then a more important storm might develop into a
strong Nor'easter next Sunday through Tuesday. We will have to wait and see.
There are a lot of things to watch, and remember that March can
be a volatile time of year and often the biggest snowstorms occur in the month
of March with the volatility.
Lots of reasons to check back here for updates...
