TODAY – mostly sunny, then increasing cloudiness late in the day, highs from the low to mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island

TOMORROW – snow developing between about 1 am and 3 am from west to east across the Allentown and NYC Metro areas, becoming heavy at times between about 4 am and 7 am and then changing to rain from south to north starting at about 8 am in Central NJ, 8-9 am in East Central PA, Northern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island (except remaining freezing rain in East Central PA and Northwestern NJ), in Northeastern PA around 9- 10 am (then remaining freezing rain), then in Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT around 10 am ( but remaining freezing rain until around 1 pm in Orange County, NY), and the freezing rain could hold on until about 2 pm in Northeastern PA, total possible snowfall accumulations prior to the changeover to rain and freezing rain:  coating to an inch or two from Mercer and Central Middlesex Counties southward in NJ, 1-3 inches NYC and Long Island, 2-5 inches in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, with the lower amounts most likely in Southern Hunterdon, Southern Somerset, and Northern Middlesex Counties and the highest amounts most likely in the higher elevations of East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation is also possible in East Central PA and Northwestern NJ, with up to a quarter of an inch of ice accumulation possible in Northeastern PA and Western Orange County, NY, there will then be a chance of rain showers in the evening, lows from the upper teens to low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s along the coast, nighttime highs from the low 40’s in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY and Northern Fairfield County, CT, to the low to mid 50’s in Central NJ

SUNDAY – rain in the morning, ending in the afternoon, then clearing by night, temperatures falling through the day from morning highs in the 50’s, to some low 60’s in Central NJ, dropping to from the upper 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s on Eastern Long Island by evening,

MONDAY – mostly sunny, lows from the low teens in Northeastern PA to the low 20’s to mid 20’s along the NJ Coast, highs from the mid 20’s to the low 30’s

TUESDAY – mostly sunny, lows from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s along the NJ Coast, highs from the mid 30’s to the low 40’s

WEDNESDAY – mostly sunny, lows from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA and Northwestern NJ to the mid 30’s along the coast and on Eastern Long Island, highs from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s in Central NJ

THURSDAY – chance of rain or snow, lows from the mid to upper 20’s inland to the low to mid 30’s along the coast and on Long Island, highs from the mid 30’s to low 40’s
