Next up, COLD, followed by another chance for snow…
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of some snow showers tomorrow evening that could leave a coating of snow in some places, especially in Northeastern PA and Southeastern NY, as a weak disturbance passes by our area. Highs tomorrow will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ.
Wednesday then looks nice with highs ranging from the upper 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ, around NYC, and on Long Island.
Thursday will then be windy and MUCH colder with a chance of Lake Effect Snow showers inland and Ocean Effect snow showers along the coast and on Long Island. Highs will range from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s along the coast.
Friday, we will have increasing cloudiness late in the day, with a chance of snow developing between about 10 pm and midnight as a strong storm system approaches our area from the west. Lows Friday morning will drop from the low to mid single digits BELOW ZERO in Northeastern PA to the upper single digits above zero along the coast. Highs Friday will range from the low to mid teens in Northeastern PA to the low 20’s in Central and far Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Saturday, the snow may change to rain before ending in the late morning or early afternoon. There could be significant accumulations of snow and ice prior to any changeover. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.
Sunday, a strong cold front will move through our area in the morning, bringing some rain and then clearing in the afternoon. Highs will be early in the morning and will range from the low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 50’s in Central NJ and on Eastern Long Island. Temperatures will then fall gradually in the afternoon.
Next Monday then looks nice with highs from the mid teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Next Tuesday, we will have increasing cloudiness late in the day with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.
Next Wednesday, we will have a chance of rain or snow as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Thursday, we will have a chance of rain or snow showers with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Friday through Christmas Day then look nice with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
