Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
A beautiful Christmas Day ahead and then it gets warm, and then some snow?
It will be very nice for Christmas Day with highs in the 40’s.
Monday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower during the day and showers will be likely at night as a cold front approaches our area. Highs will be mainly in the 40’s.
Tuesday things will clear out early in the day after the front moves through and it will be quite warm with highs in the 50's and some areas in Central NJ possibly hitting 60 degrees.
Wednesday will then be nice and the temperatures will be back to normal, with highs in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Thursday a disturbance will approach from the west. As this disturbance reaches the Middle Atlantic States it will start to strengthen, turning into a Nor’easter as it reaches the NJ Coast. It will then strengthen rapidly, bringing the chance of rain or snow to our area. The way it looks right now, the most likely areas to receive accumulating snow would be East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY, and Fairfield County, CT, but there is a chance of snow into NYC and in the rest of our area as well, depending on how rapidly this storm strengthens. As this storm continues to strengthen and head northeast, it may bring New England a big snowstorm. We will need to keep a close eye on this one, and especially anyone in New England. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 40’s along the NJ Coast and on Long Island.
Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the 30’s.
New Year’s Eve then looks nice with highs in the 30’s.
New Year’s Day we will have a chance of rain or snow as a storm system approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Monday and Tuesday then look nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Wednesday and Thursday there will then be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Wednesday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Thursday.
Next Friday then looks nice with highs in the 30’s.
