Unsettled Saturday morning…
Tomorrow will be nice with highs in the low to mid 40’s.
Christmas Eve a weak disturbance will approach our area, bringing a chance of rain, snow, freezing rain, or sleet in the morning to East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State and to Fairfield County, CT. The precipitation should end by around mid-day. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s. There could be a coating to an inch of accumulation of ice or snow in Northeastern PA, and a coating will be possible in some parts of East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. Please be careful if planning to drive Saturday morning.
Christmas Day then looks nice with highs in the low to mid 40’s.
Monday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the morning and a rain shower in the afternoon and at night as a cold front passes through our area Monday night. Highs will be in the 40’s, with some low 50’s possible along the coast.
Tuesday and Wednesday then look nice with highs ranging from the low to mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 50’s in Central NJ and on Long Island Tuesday, dropping to the low to mid 30’s Wednesday behind the cold front.
Next Thursday a storm system will approach from the west. This storm may then develop into a Nor’easter as it reaches the New Jersey Coast, bringing a chance of rain or snow, possibly heavy at times Thursday morning, then clearing late in the day. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 50’s along the coast and on Long Island.
Next Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a Lake Effect snow shower or squall. Highs will be in the 30’s inland and in the low 40’s along the coast.
New Year’s Eve then looks nice with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
New Year’s Day there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.
Next Monday and Tuesday then look nice with highs in the mid to upper 30’s next Monday and Tuesday.
Next Wednesday we will have a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.
