A little bad weather Christmas Eve Morning…
Today will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a rain or snow shower as a weak disturbance passes by to our north. A coating of accumulation is possible mainly in Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the 40’s.
Tomorrow should then be quite nice with highs in the low to mid 40’s.
Christmas Eve morning a disturbance will pass through our area, bringing us a chance of some rain, snow, freezing rain, or sleet in the morning. Some light snow or ice accumulation is possible in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT. The precipitation will then end in the late morning or early afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s, except some upper 40’s will be likely along the coast.
Christmas Day then looks very nice with highs in the low to mid 40’s.
Monday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a snow shower early in the morning as a warm front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s. There will then be a chance of a rain shower at night.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain shower in the morning as a cold front passes through our area. Temperatures will start out quite warm, in the 40’s to low 50’s in the morning, but will then drop through the day behind the cold front.
Wednesday will start out nice but clouds will then increase late in the day. It will be cold with highs in the low to mid 30’s.
Next Thursday we will have a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance approaches from the west and potentially develops into a Nor’easter along the NJ Coast. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Friday and New Year’s Eve will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower both days as some Lake Effect moisture could reach our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Friday and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s New Year’s Eve.
New Year’s Day there will then be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance and cold front approach our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Monday through Wednesday then look nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Monday and Wednesday and the 30’s next Tuesday.
Have a fantastic day!
