A bit of snow possible tonight in some places, then COLD, then a chance for snow…
A weak disturbance will approach our area tonight, bringing a chance for some snow showers, especially in Northeastern PA and Orange County, NY. A coating of accumulation is possible in some places, especially in Northeastern PA and Orange County, NY, where up to an inch of accumulation will be possible in some places. Highs will range from the mid 30’s to the low 40’s.
Tomorrow then looks nice with highs mainly in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Thursday a strong cold front will then move through our area, bringing windy conditions and a chance of some snow showers. Highs will range from only the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s along the coast.
Friday then looks nice, but cold, with lows from around zero in parts of Northeastern PA, to the mid teens in parts of Central NJ, and highs from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ.
Saturday a strong storm system will approach our area from the west, bringing a good chance of snow Saturday morning, changing to freezing rain and then possibly to rain in parts of our area by afternoon. Some accumulation is possible along the coast, in NYC, and on Long Island, with significant accumulations of snow and ice possible inland Saturday morning. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Western Orange County, NY, to the mid to upper 40’s along the coast and on Eastern Long Island.
Sunday rain will be likely with clearing by night as a strong cold front passes through our area. Highs will range from the low 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s in Central NJ, then will drop later in the day.
Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of snow developing in the in the afternoon as a disturbance may approach from the Southeastern United States, but that is still very uncertain. Highs will be in the 20’s inland and in the low 30’s along the coast.
Next Tuesday then looks nice with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s inland and in the mid 30’s along the coast.
Next Wednesday through Friday then look unsettled with a chance of rain or snow each day as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States and then a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be mainly from the mid 30’s to the mid 40’s.
Christmas Eve then looks nice with highs in the mid to upper 30’s inland and in the low to mid 40’s along the coast and on Long Island.
Christmas Day we will then have increasing cloudiness late in the day with a chance of a rain or snow shower at night. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s inland and in the low to mid 40’s along the coast.
Next Monday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30’s inland and in the low 40’s along the coast and on Long Island.
