COLD and then snow and ice Saturday morning…
This evening there will be some snow showers around that could leave a coating of snow in some places, especially in Northeastern PA and Orange County, NY.
Tomorrow will then be nice with highs ranging from the upper 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Thursday a strong cold front will then move through our area, bringing with it much colder air, strong winds, and a chance of a snow shower, especially along the coast. Highs will range from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Friday will then be nice, but very cold, with lows dropping as low as the single digits in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT, with highs ranging from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ and NYC.
Saturday snow will develop early in the morning and will then start changing to ice and then rain from south to north across the Allentown and New York City Metropolitan areas in the late morning, and possibly into the early afternoon in parts of Northeastern PA and Orange County, NY. There will likely be a significant accumulation of snow and ice inland prior to the changeover, with some accumulation even likely right to the coast. There will then be a chance of showers Saturday afternoon and night. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 50’s along the coast and on Central and Eastern Long Island.
Sunday showers will be likely as a strong cold front moves through our area. Highs will range from the mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s in Central and Northeastern NJ and NYC.
Monday and Tuesday then look nice, but cold again, with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s Monday and the 30’s next Tuesday.
Next Wednesday through Friday there will be a chance of rain or snow as several disturbances and a cold front approach our area. Highs will be in the 30’s next Wednesday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Thursday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Friday.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day through Monday then look nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Have a wonderful evening!
